We hope you find our site informative and useful. Our club is proud to have been serving the local communities for more than 50 years and truly believe 'Life is worth living in Fort Smith, Arkansas'. We will be updating our site often, so be sure to check back to catch up on things and find out what your local Sertoman's are doing around town.

The 14th Annual Jim Griffith Memorial Golf Tournament was held on August 7, 2010
Jim Griffith was a very active and dedicated member of the Downtown Fort Smith Sertoma club and support of the local Fort Smith Community. It is with great honor we hold our major fund raiser for the year in his memory. This will be the fourteenth year for the Jim Griffith memorial golf tournament and this year it was held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Deer Trails Golf Course at Fort Chaffee.
Donations go back to the local community in the form of sponsorships for hearing aids for individuals, Field and Track medals for Special Olympics, equipment for the Kistler Center for Children, Christmas for families, etc. For a list of last years sponsorships, see our FAQ page (select from menu on left) under the question 'Who has the Downtown Sertoma helped this year?'.

*$200 to Sertoma International for the Lavaca Serteen club keeps them from
having to pay dues themselves. The Lavaca Serteen club is a club
made of eigth graders in the Lavaca school and has been highly active in
getting young boys and girls involved in serving their community.
*$200 to Sertoma International for the Kistler Center gives their
employee the ability to apply for scholorships to further their
education in the speach and hearing field.
*$175 to Sertoma Internationl for Matching Grants provides money as a pool
for Sertoma clubs to apply for grants for their local communities.
The Fort Smith Club has received several of these over the past years.
