Q: Who does Sertoma help?
A: Sertoma's primary service project is assisting the more than 50
million people with speech, hearing and language disorders. Each
Sertoma club is also give the latitude to assist their local communities
as they feel led. See the 'About' page for more information on
local support by the Downtown Fort Smith Sertoma Club.
Q: Where does Sertoma get it's funds?
A: Sertoma's funds are raised by the local clubs via events such as Golf
Tournaments, Chili Cook Offs, etc. The Downtown Fort Smith
Sertoma's primary fund raiser is our Annual Jim Griffith Memorial Golf
Tournament held the last weekend of July.

A: The Downtown Fort Smith Sertoma has given the following donations
during the July 2007 - June 2008 fiscal year...
- $2,000 - hearing aids to local people
- 200 - Fellowship of Christian Athlete's
- 500 - local families for Christmas
- 260 - Policeman of the Year banquet ($50 Gift Cert to winner)
- 350 - Declaration of Independence scrolls for local 9th graders
- 290 - Lavaca Serteen Club
- 375 - Regulus club
- 1,500 - Special Olympics
- 1,942 - Kistler Center for Children ($442 from Sertoma Int. grant)
- 900 - Service to Mankind Banquet - Sam Sicard winner this year
