Sertoma Club of Missouri Elects New Board of Directors
KANSAS CITY, Mo.— Sertoma stands
for "SERvice TO MAnkind."
Sertoma's primary service project is assisting the more
than 50 million people with communicative disorders.
As the first Sertoma club established in 1912, the Sertoma
Club of Missouri is known as the “Mother Club.”
With funding and volunteer hours the club sponsors the Missouri
School for the Deaf, as well as supporting other organizations,
such as Keep Them Cool, City Mission and Run for the Ears.
The Sertoma Club of Missouri’s membership is 50 and
growing. Lunch meetings are held every Tuesday at Noon in
the State room at the Holiday Inn. Guests are welcome.
Headquartered and founded in Kansas City, Mo. in 1912, Sertoma
is a civic organization dedicated to “SERvice
TO MAnkind,” with 20,000-plus members
in more than 650 clubs across Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico
and the United States. Every year Sertoma Clubs raise more
than $20 million for local community service projects. Through
these projects, as well as grants and scholarships, Sertoma
clubs return those funds to their respective communities.
