The message points provide consistency and focus for club
brochures, press releases and other printed material. They

What is Sertoma?
Sertoma is a civic organization with more than 20,000 members
in more than 600 clubs across Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico
and the United States. (Always check the Home page of www.sertoma.org
for current figures.)
Our Mission:
Sertoma exists for the high and noble purpose of SERVICE TO
MANKIND by communication of thoughts, ideas and concepts to
accelerate human progress in health, education, freedom and
democracy.
Our Slogan:
Sertoma's marketing slogan is "Making Life Worthwhile
Through SERvice TO MAnkind." This slogan should
be used on your club Web site and on all correspondence, such
as letters, press releases and e-mail signatures.
What do Sertomans do?
Every year, Sertoma clubs raise more than $20 million for
community needs. Through these projects, as well as grants
and scholarships, Sertoma clubs return those funds to their
respective communities.
Sertoma
Service Projects

Sertoma's
primary service project is assisting the more than 50 million
people with speech, hearing and language disorders.

Sertoma sponsors community projects to promote freedom and
democracy, to assist youth and to benefit a variety of other
local community needs, as selected and funded by individual
clubs.

Projects funded include summer camps for hard of hearing
youth; Fantasy Sports Camps; speech and hearing equipment
and screening programs; projects that meet the needs of
children and the elderly; and more.

Sertomans are dedicated to SERvice TO MAnkind.

As
members of the third oldest service organization in the
United States, Sertomans are bound together through a common
thread of camaraderie and a sense of contributing to something
much larger than oneself.

Membership
is non-exclusive - not limited by gender, culture, race
or faith.

is comprised of diverse individuals, including men and women
of all ages, from trades people and small business owners
to educators and professionals.
