SERTOMAN SUBMISSIONS

The Sertoma Headquarters staff exists to serve you. Share your success stories of Making Life Worthwhile Through SERvice TO MAnkind! The Communications Department would appreciate hearing details about your club service, fundraising and membership accomplishments. Sertoman articles are selected from club submissions and from ideas gleaned from reading club and Division bulletins.

Due to space limitations, news and photos of activities common to all Sertoma clubs, such as installations, anniversaries, club and Regional Sertomans of the Year, Freedom Week activities, news of Fall District Conferences, Regional workshops and conventions will not be published in the magazine. For the same reason, obituaries are listed on that respective page, rather than as a feature article (except in the case of Past Presidents, as dictated in our Governing Documents).

Sertoman article focus is:
1) A club or group of clubs whose sponsorship and/or fundraiser has a major impact on the community or the organization it serves - we can and do accomplish big things in our communities.
2) A club (or clubs) that brining value or focus on the members of Sertoma - we recognize and support the importance of our own members.
3) Testimonials so we can focus on the work of Sertoma through the eyes of someone whose life has been impacted by Sertoma.
4) Articles that focus on how to improve or strengthen the clubs, such as membership recruitment and retention programs, orientation and mentoring programs, building value - recognition and training programs, leadership development, publicity, fundraising and sponsorship issues.
5) Other articles, including "My Sertoma," will be considered. We do try to include one of each of the above in each issue.

Send submissions via e-mail to infosertoma@sertomahq.org, or mail to Sertoma Headquarters, Communications Department, 1912 E. Meyer Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64132-1174.
